Information for League Week 14 and Sadler Brown Cup

One week remains for playing off of rearranged fixtures.

Note: The End of Season Meeting and Presentations: Friday 3rd September 7:30pm at Blue Flames. Time to ensure please that all engravings on cups and shields are up to date for return before or at the meeting! A calling notice will follow.

Friendly Wanted and Accepted!

Great Eccleston cricket club are touring this year in Newcastle and were looking for a fixture on Tuesday the 24th of August following a game secured the day before on the Monday against Newcastle Cricket Club.

Andy Bryant has taken this up and the game will be an Adders All Star XI at Backworth CC, commencing 12:30 or 1pm.

Bid News re Barrie's Painting!

Paul Smith again leads the bidding with £70. Bids of £20 Don Catley and £60 Malcolm Kennedy have been outbid.

The Donation: Our Patron and ‘Angel of the South’, Barrie Goodfellow, now of worldwide fame as described in http://www.lowvisionart.org/update.htm has thoughtfully painted a picture of Tynemouth Priory to be used to raise funds for the League. It is 20 by 16 inches acrylic on canvas, painted and signed by the registered blind artist Barrie Goodfellow, July 2010. Bids are being accepted by the Secretary from now, up until the bids close in a special auction at the Presentation Evening. To ensure a good starting price for the auction, the current top bid will be announced on the website and each week via the Information Sheets,
