Oceans CC:
139/4 (14 overs) Mudassar 34 not out, Ratty 29 not out
Aletasters:
85/5 (14 overs) Wally 4-0-20-3
It was sweet revenge for Oceans CC as they got back to winning ways against the same opposition who ended there unbeaten run last week. Having been put into bat Oceans CC accumulated sensibly against some disciplined bowling from Aletasters who could only field eight players. Oceans did struggle to find the boundaries as the fielders patrolled them areas to good effect. The top four batsman got into double figures but eventually got themselves out chasing the boundaries. Oceans were somewhat stuttering when they lost their skipper and simon in quick succession with the score on 84/5 from 9 overs. However a brilliant 55 run partnership by Mudassar 34 not out and Ratty 29 not out got Oceans into a great position as they finished on 139/4 from there 14 overs. These two batsman played cleverly and read the script well by placing the ball well and running hard between the wickets. In between, they hit fours at important times and gave Oceans a great foothold in the game.
In reply, Aletasters who were missing last weeks hero Mohammed Kim were outclassed by some brilliant fast bowling by Wally who took three for twenty off his fours overs. Dave bowled very economically and was deserving off a wicket but sadly for Aletasters only Jones put up a fight with a well made 45 before falling lbw to Gulam. They finally finished on 85/5 from their 14 overs.
Man of the match: Mudassar
