Genetics put in another sub-standard effort against Blagdon on a good batting pitch at Close House. Batting first, we could only manage 108 with John Featherstone making 18 not out at the bottom of the batting order. He was supported by Allie Douglas with 16, Andy Porteous on 15, Raj on 13, and Tim Davies who made 12. We only had 9 players who turned up, so Blagdon in their generosity, let Phil Ansell and Chris Moss bat again to attempt to improve on their duck scores. Blagdon's innings showed us how to bat properly, and although Allie and Tim opened well, Blagdon still had no trouble in polishing off the total with the loss of only 3 wickets.
