Oceans CC won an entralling game this week aganist Fenham Hall in a bizarre match in which two players got hit by the ball. This was a must win game for Fenham Hall if they had any hopes of promotion so therefore the pressure was on.
Oceans won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted a par score of 114/9 from their 14 overs. However, Oceans were really unsettled due to late arrivals by some players and by Arsalan getting hit on the nose by the cricket ball after top edging.Paramedics were called in at the ground to see too Arsalan and he had to retire hurt as the blood would not stop.Usman Aziz played a good knock of 22 and Arsalan re-entered the game as the last batsman to hit two huge sixes which in the end were the crucial blows that decided the outcome of the match.
In Reply, Fenham Hall fought valiantly and most of their batsman made contributions. One of their batsman took a huge blow to the face from the bowling of Watan and suffered bruises.Thankfully he was ok and alrite to continue. They needed 16 off the last over and it proved too much for their tail end batsman. They finished on 107/8 from their 14 overs with Rian bowling superbly and finishing with figures of 5 for 28.
This win now puts Oceans back in top spot and they now need to beat Merz to finish as champions.

After wrapping up their second win in three days last night against Sparta, the captain has said that winning the league is now the priority,'We want to show our dominance in this division by winning it. I said earlier on in the season that we will win it and I stand by my statement.I think we have played the best cricket this season and have been the most consistent team and thats why we have occupied that top spot for a long period of time. I have told my boys that they have to show thier dominance now by winning the title and they fully understand what our main goal now is.
Khan later said that his team has all the ingredients to be considered as a top team,'We have a lot of flair, elegance and class. The third division is going to be very difficult for us.Of course it is but we aint afraid of it.We are going to go and play our game and let the rest take care of itself. I always ask my boys to play their natural games whatever the situation. They are a joy to work with and such a fun bunch to be around.
Khan said his team were always going to chase down the score which Sparta had set,'I didnt panic when Sparta were at one stage in a good position.Awais bowled beautifully and desrved his wickets.Even if sparta got 200 we still would have chased it down easily. It's a great batting wicket and you saw how quickly we got the runs.We are looking forward to our next game against St Cuthberts,They are a good team but if we play to our potential then we should win.

Oceans won their second game in three days very convincingly against Sparta at Cochrane Park last night. Sparta won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted a below par score of 110/7 from their 16 overs with only A.Langley providing a meaningful score. Awais was the pick of the bowlers taking 4 wickets for 14 runs. In reply, Oceans wasted very little time in chasing down the runs. They managed to win inside 8 overs and finished on 111/3 (8 overs). An aggresive approach from Arsalan and Usman was the catalyst to a comprehensive win for Oceans. The result now puts Oceans in the firm seat for promotion and the title they so richly deserve.

The captain today has spoken after last nights magnificent display from his team. 'It was the perfect performance to be honest with you. We batted well, bowled well and fielded well. It was perfect and I am absolutely delighted. Three tuns only had 8 players on the night which was unfortunate,But to be honest it would not have mattered if they had 20.We were very determined and the boys have been informed at what we need to do in our remaining games. We will not be stopped and we are going to finish very strongly and underline our strength to the rest of the division. Im really proud of my team, we had a setback last week but came back. This team always fights back after a lost. They are a joy to work with because they always want to improve and are very vibrant.
Khan said the victory was set up by some masterful batting by Rian,'That was a crucial innings. We lost Arsalan early and Rian never lost his patience. His placement was spot on and his innings was a joy to watch. Ali also played very well and read the situation. He is in very good form at the moment and im really pleased for him, he's a good lad. I also feel I am seeing the ball very well too, and in one of the remaining games I may well decide to open the batting.
Khan later payed tribute to his pace bowlers,'They are fantastic. They have speed, intelligence and skill. The pace they were bowling at yesterday was a real treat to watch. We play with a lot of flair and are a really good team to watch. I am so proud of my team and hopefully we can continue and play in the same way against Sparta on Wednesday. We are really looking forward to that game after this victory.

Oceans CC produced a breathtaking display to topple Three tuns in what was arguably one of their best displays of the season. Oceans were able to field their strongest team this time around. Oceans were put into bat and they soon lost dangerman Arsalan for a quickfire 20. However, Rian played a beautiful classy knock of 42 and Ali and Ratty ably supported to get Oceans to a competitive score of 130/7 from their 16 overs. In reply Three tuns were blown away by the Oceans attack of Arsalan and Watan who both bowled at ferocious pace. This was too much for the Tuns batsman to handle and they simply had no answer. Three tuns ended on 35 al out in 7.5 overs. Oceans now look very good for promotion but another tricky game awaits in the form of Sparta.
