Ratty has spoken of his delight of the win over black widows.he praised the resiliance of Rian for getting the team to a total by stating 'It was an innings that was played according to the situation, and I hope the other batsman can quickly learn on how to bat on difficult wickets'.The captain also prasied his entire bowling and fielding unit by stating 'Its very important to bowl as partnerships, such as if you were batting.Stick to line and length then you cannot go wrong on this pitch. The bowlers did exactly that and the sheer will and determination to dismiss the opposition made me a proud man. This was a win which was pleasing in the manner we earned it.Situations like these test you as a cricketer, and in future you learn from these experiences and be better equipped to deal with them.

Oceans CC secured there second league win of the season against Black Widows in a low scoring match.Oceans were sent into bat on a bizarre wicket which offered nothing to the batsman. The batsman soon found it hard going and in one instance there was a danger of posting a score of about 60.However, thanks to some stubborn resistance from Rian (31) they managed to score 90 all out in 14 overs.Captain Ratty felt this was a competitive score given the nature of the pitch and got his message across to his whole entire team.Superb bowling from Arsalan,Bilal, and Adeel ensured that Black Widows fell short by 6 runs in there pursuit. So the unbeaten start to the season goes on and the next league game is Belmont at home.

Oceans CC began the season against Parkhouse on a glorious Wednesday evening in emphatic style with a return of 10 points. With captain Ratty winning the toss, he had no hesitation batting first and soon reaped rewards by two fine performances.Arsalan with a brutal 78 and Rian with a controlled 59 not out were the main reason why Oceans posted a formidable 168/7 of 14 overs. In reply Parkhouse could only muster 90 all out in what was a superb bowling spell by James and especially Arsalan who was deservedly voted man of the match. This was a superb start to the season and all the players put in 100% effort and commitment to the cause. The captain was clearly delighted and is hoping this will lay the platform for promotion.
